Disclaimer and Possible Trigger Warning

Dear everyone,

I am not a professional on ‚race‘. For some of you that is probably already the best reason for me to shut up on the topic. I am white. That’s like… another good reason not to talk. So I won’t talk. I’ll write articles for this blog to ensure that those, who do not wish to be confronted with my thoughts on whiteness and ‚race‘ and racism and how to deal with all of that, can choose to stay away. (They can’t stay away from the matters themselves, of course, unless they live in Pink–Pegasus-Pony-Utopia.)

So, even though I have no professional background and neither experienced racism on a systemic, nor on an individual level, I would like to deal with it. I need to deal with it. I think, I am in a position to deal with it, precisely because all of these reasons aforementioned.

Do you have thoughts and feelings on this? On your or other people’s whiteness? On how to instrumentalise it in a constructive, in an anti-racist way? This is my invitation to you to discuss this and all related matters in an anonymous space with input generated through me and whoever joins in. But watch out: Anonymity does not equal invincibility. Please refrain from expression of intentionally offensive or aggressive comments. Disrespect of human dignity will be sanctioned in the form of deleting of contributions.

Warning: Due to the purpose of this blog to create an open space to discuss matters and exchange experiences related to whiteness, ‚race‘ and racism, persons triggered by such content may consider refraining from further inquiring this blog.
