Hello.

Today: some pictures. Have fun. (You can find the link to the German post containing the pictures on the end and on top of this post.)

To solve two things with one single post, I’ll just tell some more stuff.

In the meanwhile I received a schedule which is not particularly full to be honest, so I’m going to go to other schools in Varazdin from next week on, helping in DSD classes, regular lessons or something else. The mentioned school magazine will be made in cooperation with the economy school a few minutes from my school as far as our plans go; therefore I’m going to be something like a link between those two schools.

Next Friday is the ultimatum for a German music competition where students are supposed to write three rap verses in German referring to a given chorus. To ensure Elektrostrojarska’s victory, a German who’s interested in music was supposed to help our students (which is me). At least one lonely student wants to participate and we make an appointment for yesterday at the cabinet for foreign languages. At first I have to look for that room for a while, but then I find it as well as the student standing in front of the door, so there’s me and the student, but no key. I run back home, grab the key and run back. Then there’s me and the key, but no student. In the following 15 minutes I stumble through the (as I said, not very small) school without any orientation and finally quit searching for the lost rapper. I say goodbye to Jelena who works at the entrance and go home, with the key, without the student, without the song text. Whatever.

My last weekend on the other hand was very nice and not boring at all; on Saturday the band “Decoro & Dos Cervezas” played a gig in the bar Elephant which is – just like everything else – just around the corner. I know Fani, the singer, because I met her when I came to Varazdin for the first time; the saxophone player Viktor participated in the Youth Conference of Ravensburg 2012 with me; the piano player speaks excellent German due to her university time in Graz, and the drummer and me quickly got along pretty well anyway. Very talented musicians and a nice repertoire – and Croatian beer for about 1.70 € – made my evening.

I’m already really enjoying my time here, but probably I should slowly start looking for more regular activities so I can more and more enter the working life and eventually think about (an) own project(s).

See you soon

Florin.
