During our preparation camp for our voluntary service „kulturweit“, we were given the chance to deal with different kind of critiques concerning our voluntary services. One of them was fair reporting and with which legitimacy the western youth gets to travel the world (without significant knowledge of the countries they are traveling to), and blogs online about their experiences and feelings concerning their life in a mostly far away country - whereby only their own (mainly white) voices and opinions are being heard back in their homecountries. This project is supposed to work against this kind of unequal reporting. I asked my fellow volunteers, who live in all kinds of different countries at the moment, to talk to a person (one of their friends, colleagues, room mates, or one of their students and so on) and to ask them, what they think is relevant concerning their country, to describe their point of view, to tell what they think is interesting, worth knowing, important, to show what they like or dislike and so on. This way, we get all kinds of different reports from all over the world. I truely hope we will find other stories, points of views, perspectives and opinions than our own.
