Hey Guys,
Short entry before starting the prep class next week in Berlin (Europäische Jugend Bildungsstätte).
Yesterday I moved out of my shared apartment. Thanks to all the helping hands! I love to have good friends and even spontaneously Marie came by and helped! Thanks Alex, Marie and Sharon for helping! And certainly my mom and brother Elias who came by to help.
I will really miss my flat mates! We had a whale of a time the last three years! Thanks for this Elke, Fred and Jens ☺ No everything is so foreseeable… Next week off to Berlin and on the 12th of September I will fly to Ulaanbaatar.
I know that I will live in a family of five. Three kids (7, 10 and 14 years) – feels nearly as home-home (I have 4 siblings). The 14-year-old learns German at the 48. School where I will teach as well but apart from that none of them speaks any German or English and my Mongolian knowledge is very very limited. This will be an adventurous experience and I am very much looking forward to it!
Furthermore I hope that all my stuff will fit in the 20kg baggage that is allowed on my flight. Nice challenge!
One of my travel guides wrote about MIAT (the Mongolian Airlines) that you will have Mongolian feeling on the flight 😛 So nice way to get first in touch with this still so strange and unknown culture.
My last few days are filled with lots of visits, birthdays, last time this last time that…
I am really looking forward to Berlin, where I am invited to the wedding of one of my best friends and as well I will visit my godmother and godfather afterwards to enjoy my last 2 days in Germany! I am really happy to have so many friends around me and I know that they are always around when I need them! #friendsforever
