Let`s explore our SustainAbility!
Georgisch-Deutsche Jugendbegegnung rund um das Thema Nachhaltigkeit.
Das Wort „Nachhaltigkeit“ ist allgegenwärtig. Doch was Nachhaltigkeit wirklich bedeutet ist meist unbekannt. Wir machen den abstrakten Begriff greifbar und werden gemeinsam im Laufe der Woche erforschen, was für uns nachhaltige Entwicklung bedeuten kann und warum diese so wichtig ist.
Whom do we seek?
We are looking for up to four facilitator’s to join our preferably gender balanced Team. You should be experienced in non-formal education methods of youth education and in guiding group processes as well over a one week long process. Experiences in international youth meetings/ seminars would be pleasant and is an advantage. As the youth meeting will be held in English as well as partly in German language you should speak both languages.
In the seminar we will deal with different topics in the field of education for sustainable development in depth. So we are looking for facilitators which have certain knowledge and experience about sustainability related topics like:
- Renewable Energies
- Resource und Waste
- Climate Change and Climate protection
- Sustainable Consume
- Sustainable Lifestyles and Alternatives
- Water: An element of live, politics, economy and conflict
In the seminar the participants will deepen their knowledge in up to four „expert groups“ dealing each with one topic. The topics will be set up by the team and the participants in the closer forerun of the seminar. That means the participants and Team makes offers and the participants take their final vote for.
Each Facilitator will – beside others – care about one topic and one subgroup. So you don’t have to be an expert by yourself but bring some additional knowledge and experience in topics of education for sustainable development for offering a thematically workshop on a topic, guide and inspire the group through its own „research process“.
As we will get creative in the seminar and e.g. produce some video spots or sounds (songs) it would be fantastic if you bring along some experience in either video production, sound creation or as well in Web 2.0 (Blogging), or etc.
Working languages
English will be the main language but depending on the needs of the participants the seminar will be held in English and in German.

Sonnenberg-Kreis e. V. is an independent and non-profit making organisation of international out-of-school education in Europe. For now more than 50 years our guiding principle is: „Talk together, overcome prejudice, understand one another, act responsibly“. With our conferences we invite participants of different national, ethnic-cultural and social origins and of different ideological background to discuss cultural and social issues, the economy and the environment, work and leisure, present-day political as well as historical questions.
