Juhuu! Grund genug, die zwei Wochen Winterferien, die leider mittlerweile fast um sind, zur verl\u00e4ngerten Weihnachtszeit zu erkl\u00e4ren. (Irgendeine Ausrede braucht man ja, um den ganzen Tag Kekse und Schokolade zu futtern.) Und jetzt sitze ich in meinem Zimmer, esse Original N\u00fcrnberger Oblaten Lebkuchen von Edeka-Eigenmarke* und versuche zu beschreiben, wie Weihnachten in der Mongolei ist.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Das ist gar nicht so leicht, denn eigentlich gibt es Weihnachten hier gar nicht. Das Land ist Schamanistisch-Buddhistisch gepr\u00e4gt und Jesus ungef\u00e4hr so wichtig wie Gebetstrommeln in Deutschland. Stattdessen wird im Februar das Neujahrsfest \u0446\u0430\u0433\u0430\u0430\u043d\u00a0\u0441\u0430\u0440 (Tsagaan Zar) gefeiert, was soviel wie &#8222;Wei\u00dfer Mond&#8220; hei\u00dft. Das kann man finden, wie man will.<br \/>\nDer Weihnachtsbaum -aus Plastik- hei\u00dft Neujahrsbaum und die Gesch\u00e4fte und Stra\u00dfen sind gleicherma\u00dfen mit &#8222;Merry Christmas&#8220;- und\u00a0 &#8222;2015&#8220;-Schriftz\u00fcgen dekoriert. Dem russisch-sovietischen Einfluss des letzten Jahrhunderts ist es zu verdanken, dass sich der gesamte Weihnachtsfeiereitrubelkitsch auf Sylvester umgelagert hat. Der Einsatz von Lametta (nicht nur f\u00fcr den Baum) und bunten(!) Lichterketten ist dadurch aber eher noch gewachsen. Im State Department Store, dem zentralen Kaufhaus, wurde eine gro\u00dfe Dekoabteilung mit Plastiktannenkr\u00e4nzen, knallgr\u00fcnen oder kunstschneebedeckten Plastikb\u00e4umen, blinkenden Lichterketten, ber\u00fcschten Weihnachtskugeln und allerlei anderen verzierten Gebilden zum Aufh\u00e4ngen er\u00f6ffnet, frei nach dem Motto: je mehr Glitzer, desto besser!<\/p>\n<p>Daneben gab es in den L\u00e4den eine ganze Reihe Weihnachtsleckereien: Herzen-Sterne-Bretzeln, gef\u00fcllte Lebkuchen, Schokoweihnachtsm\u00e4nner und Gummib\u00e4rchen mit Nikolausm\u00fctze, allesamt importiert aus Deutschland. (Noch so eine Sachen, bei der ich nicht wei\u00dft, wie ich sie bewerten soll.) Ich habe sogar einen Adventskalender mit Schokot\u00e4felchen gefunden, er kommt aus Tschechien. Au\u00dferdem gab es wohl eine Ladung mit Marzipankartoffeln &#8211; leider auf der langen Reise schlecht gelagert und platt wie Kartoffelpuffer. Nun, ich musste arbeiten. Wobei in der letzten Dezemberwoche der Unterricht haupts\u00e4chlich aus Neujahrsfeiern bestand. Das lie\u00df sich sehr gut aushalten. Nebenbei hatte ich genug Zeit mich mit den anderen Freiwilligen in UB und ein paar weiteren Freunden zu treffen, zu essen, auf dem Sofa rumzuliegen, ins Kino zu gehen und die Berge im S\u00fcden von UB zu erwandern. Es war also fast wie mit der Familie in Deutschland. Dazu kam dann noch, dass ich zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben auf Skiern stand. 30km s\u00fcd\u00f6stlich von UB gibt es das Sky Resort mit pr\u00e4parierten Abh\u00e4ngen. Ohne w\u00fcrde der Schnee nicht ausreichen. Auf dem Suhkbaatar bzw. Chinggis Square, dem zentralen Platz, versammelten sich um Mitternacht die Menschen, trotzten gemeinsam der K\u00e4lte und bewunderden das Feuerwerk. Anders als in Deutschland kann man hier als Privatperson keine B\u00f6ller und Raketen kaufen. Wobei ich mittlerweile gelernt habe, dass diese zwei Sachen nicht unbedingt etwas miteinander zu tun haben. Anscheinend haben viele Mongolen eine eingebaute Heizung. Wie sonst k\u00f6nnen sie bei \u00fcber -20\u00b0C ohne Handschuhe aus dem Haus gehen und ihre Finger lediglich in der Jackentasche vor der Eisesk\u00e4lte sch\u00fctzen? Es ist und bleibt mir ein R\u00e4tsel. Dabei laufe ich mittlerweile, wenn es &#8222;nur&#8220; etwa -10\u00b0C sind, selber mit d\u00fcnnen Stulpen in den n\u00e4chsten Supermarkt. Dort ist es sowieso \u00fcberheizt.<\/p>\n<p>Ansonsten gilt, Fotos sagen mehr als tausend Worte (und tausend waren es bestimmt trotzdem schon):<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_548\"
